GAC Training & Service Solutions are delighted to offer our customers the following course, in collaboration with the Chevron Shipping Centre of Learning & Development.

Course Location: Glasgow, Scotland.
Course Synopsis 

The Refrigeration course is a 16 hour course conducted mostly on the refrigeration trainer where a series of instructor led exercises will demonstrate the function of various refrigeration components.  Some common faults encountered in vapour compression systems will be introduced and their effects demonstrated. Participants will become familiar with the circuit layout of a typical vapour compression refrigeration system.  They will be able to recognise different components and state their functions in the circuit.  Participants will be able to diagnose some common refrigeration faults.

The main topics to be covered during the course are:

  1. Basic Refrigeration Theory
  2. Refrigeration Trainer Familiarisation
  3. Evaporators
  4. Compressors
  5. Condensers
  6. Expansion Devices
  7. High Pressure Control (HPC) and Low Pressure Control (LPC)

The course is designed for all Engineer Officers, ETOs, and AEOs.

Entry Standards
 

The course is open to all Engineer Officers/ETOs/AEOs.

Course Certificates 

Certificates will be issued to participants with complete attendance and achieving the learning objectives and assessment as detailed.

 

Course Intake Limitations 

 

The course is limited to a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 Engineer officers/ETO/AEO
