Delivered by the National Maritime College of Ireland, in collaboration with Cork Education and Training Board the purpose of the programme is to enhance the knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards and practices within the maritime and offshore industry.

Maritime Ireland Safe Pass is a two-day health and safety awareness programme. Delivered by the National Maritime College of Ireland, in collaboration with Cork Education and Training Board the purpose of the programme is to enhance the knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards and practices within the maritime and offshore industry.

Course Duration: 2 Day

Target Audience:

This programme is designed for all personnel working in the maritime and offshore sectors.

Certification:

On successful completion, participants will receive a Maritime Ireland Safe Pass card.


What You’ll Learn

1. Introduction to Maritime & Offshore Safety
Gain an understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and legal responsibilities.

2. Personal Safety & Hazard Awareness
Learn how to recognise hazards, assess risks and implement control measures in maritime settings.

3. Offshore Environment
Understand the physical and mental challenges of living and working offshore.

4. Typical Offshore Emergencies
Develop awareness of common offshore emergency scenarios and industry-standard response expectations.

5. Emergency Response
Learn about emergency response roles and procedures both onshore and offshore.

Assessment
Participants will complete a short multiple-choice assessment at the end of the course.
