Full Description:

Basic pilot training for the maritime sector typically refers to the training program that prepares individuals to become marine pilots. Marine pilots are highly skilled professionals who guide ships in and out of ports or through narrow waterways, ensuring safe navigation. Basic pilot training for the maritime sector typically covers subjects such as:

• ship handling,
• navigation,
• harbour operations,
• collision regulations,
• master/pilot interchange etc.,
• passage planning,
• and maritime regulations.

 

The course will involve practical training on the NMCI's bridge simulators to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required for a career as a pilot.
